Long-term goal of the project

The development of educational tourism through the repair and maintenance of popular hiking trails to the rocks of the Olkhinsky plateau - natural monuments of regional significance
Preliminary scope of work: Volunteers will have to repair existing paths. This includes clearing the corridor, excavating the soil, building structures, marking.

There is always a team leader in the group - the team leader who organizes the work.

The average working day is 6 hours with a lunch break. Depending on the weather and the condition of the group, the team leader has the right to change the daily routine.

Accommodation and meals
Volunteers set up a camp on the banks of the mountain river Olha at the foot of the Vityaz rock.

Please note that you will need to carry your things, camp equipment and food from the Orlyonok railway station to the project site (6 km).

According to the duty schedule established by the team leader, the participants set up the camp and prepare food at the stake for the whole group. You can familiarize yourself with a sample menu.

BBT purchases products, and also provides the necessary group equipment, tools, tents (one tent for two).

The project will not have a hot shower, but you can boil water and wash or refresh yourself in the invigorating waters of a mountain river.

Please note that this project is not taking place on Lake Baikal.

Weekends and Loads on the project

Daily movement along the trail, working with tools (shovels, picks, etc.), dragging stones and other types of physical activity. You will need to carry your things, equipment and food from the train station to the camp site (6 km) and back. Also throughout the project you will need to participate in the improvement of the camp.

Please note that the volume of your backpack should be at least 70 liters. In connection with the peculiarities of the local climate, you need to take a warm jacket, raincoat, sweater and pants. Also pay attention to shoes - they should be comfortable, light and non-slip.

We strongly advise you to familiarize yourself with the list of necessary equipment, information on tick-borne safety, as well as general information for BBT volunteers.

Directions

The project began at the city of Irkutsk. Participants meet on July 5 at 8:30 at the Irkutsk-Passenger railway station (Chelnokova St., 1). The group takes an electric train to the Orlyonok railway station (~ 1.5 hours). Volunteers walk from the station (6 km cross country) to the Vityaz rock. Please note that project participants carry backpacks with their belongings, group equipment and products. Volunteers get back first on foot to Orlyonok station, and then by train to Irkutsk.

FEE for participation in the project is 1300 rubles for 3 days.
Registration of your participation occurs when transferring 500 rubles to the account of the organization. Prepayment is used to prepare the project and is not refundable.
