Course purpose

training in the basics of conducting projects for the construction and reconstruction of paths with the participation of volunteers in natural areas.

Full-time form of education.

Duration of courses - 8 days:
3 days - a program of theoretical training;
5 days - a practical training program (+ 2 days arrival and departure).

Themes of the theoretical course

the basics of preparing and conducting volunteer projects for the construction and reconstruction of paths;
the specifics of carrying out stationary and transit field camp organization projects
and nutrition on the project
job descriptions and rules of conduct for participants in volunteer projects
types of trails and classification of structures, goals and objectives of the construction of trails, the main stages of construction
psychological and leadership training of the team leader, psychology of behavior in extreme situations

Practical course

setting up a camp for the project
chainsaw training
work with basic tools, safety
work with GPS and clinometer
marking and clearing the trail
track construction
construction of structures made of stone and wood
team building work

A practical course will be held on the territory of the Pribaikalsky National Park in the vicinity of Bolshoy Goloustnoye (125 km from Irkutsk).

Classes are conducted by the BBT Association staff with extensive experience in international projects for the construction and reconstruction of nature trails, qualified psychologists. At the end of the training course, a certificate is issued indicating the topics covered and the number of hours. For the practical part of the Association's courses, BBT provides all the necessary equipment and supplies (tents, tools, campfire equipment, first-aid kit, repellents, gloves). Participants must have personal equipment (backpack, sleeping bag, rug, mug, spoon, bowl, clothing and shoes necessary for field conditions). Students of the courses live in tents and cook food at the stake.

This amount includes:

in the theoretical part - handouts, the organization of the educational process, coffee breaks
in the practical part - training, travel to the place of the practical part and vice versa, three meals a day.

travel to Irkutsk
