All of our meals at each project site are cooked over a camp fire.


Because we will be out in the field with no refrigeration, we do not have any eggs or dairy products on our menus, nor do we serve soft fruits or anything else that is perishable. Our meals are fairly basic. But if there are any vegetarians amongst you we will be sure to offer a good non-meat alternative to all our regular meals.

Breakfast
  • Main dish for breakfast — usually porridge (with rolled oats, millet, rice, buckwheat, or mult-grain)
  • Fruit garnishes — including raisins, dried apricots, prunes or other dried fruits
  • Bread — with smoked sausage, and hard or soft cheeses
  • Drinks — teas, coffee, hot chocolate, or chicory drinks
  • Sweets — biscuits, gingerbread and other cookies, sweetened condensed milk
