Preliminary scope of work
Volunteers will have to repair the existing trail. This includes clearing the corridor, excavating the soil, and building structures.
There is always a team leader in the group - the team leader who organizes the work, and a translator that provides communication between the participants.
The average working day is 6 hours with a lunch break. Depending on the weather and the condition of the group, the team leader has the right to change the daily routine.
Accommodation and meals
Volunteers set up a campground on the shore of Lake Baikal in the Emelyanikh valley. According to the duty schedule set by the team leader, the project participants set up a camp and cook food at the stake for the whole group. You can familiarize yourself with a sample menu. BBT purchases products for the entire project, and also provides the necessary group equipment, tools, tents (one tent for two). Please note that there is no hot shower on the project, but you can boil water and wash or swim in Lake Baikal.
Weekends and Loads on the project
In the first half of the project, it is planned to climb the Chersky Stone, from where a picturesque view of the source of the Angara River opens. In the second half of the project, if the group is in good physical condition, a one-day trip along the trail to the village of Bolshie Koty is possible, ascent to the Skriper cliff (which offers an excellent view of South Baikal), a bathhouse.

On the first day of the project, volunteers will have to walk on foot with their personal equipment from Listvyanka to the Emelyanikha Pad (~ 6 km). On the last day of the volunteers' project, a 15-kilometer walk along the trail from Emelyanikh Paddy to the village of Bolshie Koty awaits.

During the work of volunteers, they are expected to move along the trail for a distance of 2-3 km, work with tools (shovels, picks, etc.), drag and drop logs, stones and other types of physical activity. Sometimes you will need to carry your things, camp equipment and food.

The volume of your backpack should be at least 70 liters. In connection with the peculiarities of the local climate, it is necessary to take a jacket from rain and wind, a warm sweater and trousers. Also pay attention to shoes - they should be comfortable, light and non-slip.

We strongly advise you to familiarize yourself with the list of necessary equipment, information on tick-borne safety, as well as with general information for BBT volunteers.
