What you can see on the trail

  • Big Goloustnoe is a small village on the shore of Lake Baikal. The name comes from the name of the river, the mouth of which is "bare", i.e. not covered by forest. In the village there is the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. In the vicinity of the village there is a relic poplar grove, a natural monument - a dry lake and a chapel of the Savior. Bolshoi Goloustnoye - the beginning of routes to Bolshie Koty and further to Listvyanka, as well as Peschanaya Bay and further to Buguldeyka. Along the trail you can see rosemary, dwarf lily and cactus-like rabbit cabbage (spiny mountain gill). Remember that many plants are rare and listed in the Red Book. Let's save these flowers so that other tourists can admire them!
